PLEASE NOTE: Friends of Greenfield Dance does not have any power in changing individual dance series’ Covid policies.
A statement from the Friends about Friends of Greenfield events (Fall Frolic, Contra Prom, special series, Sunday and family dances, etc):
Due to the concerns of our community that include immunocompromised individuals, intergenerational folks, and at-risk workers, the Friends of Greenfield Dance reserve the right at any given time to set COVID policies for FGD events based on but not limited to: community exposure, wastewater numbers indicating the number of COVID cases in Greenfield, and environmental variables.

Masks: For the time being attendees of FGD events are required to wear a well-fitting N95, KN95, or KF94 mask while inside the Grange building, aside from *briefly* lowering a mask to drink water.
We ask all attendees to bring 2-3 of their favorite N95/KN95/KF94 style masks, so they can swap out when the mask becomes wet. Acceptable masks of a few different styles may be available at the door (for a $1-$2 suggested donation).
Band members may unmask when on-stage for FDG events.
For help acquiring acceptable and authentic masks, check out Project N95.
Vaccines and boosters: At this time, FGD strongly recommends but doesn’t require any Covid-19 vaccines. Some series require proof of vaccination or proof of bivalent so make sure you check this table before you go.
Attendance cap and registration: Some series may have attendance caps on their dances. At this time FGD does not have attendance caps on their events.
If you had COVID-19 in the 14 days before the dance, you must have a negative test result, before attending (after your 5-day minimum isolation period has ended and your symptoms are gone).
If you had close contact with someone with COVID-19 in the 14 days before the dance, you must receive a negative rapid test result on the day of the dance, before attending. However, if you suspect or know that someone in your household currently has COVID-19, please do not attend.
Exposure notification: All attendees must agree to notify the event organizer (see publicity for the contact person for each dance) if they test positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days following a dance. The organizers will then send out an exposure notification to all attendees, using contact information collected during registration. The COVID-positive attendee’s name will *not* be publicized.
Ventilation: Ventilation will be provided to the extent possible, and may vary from one night to another, appropriate to the temperature and size of the crowd at each event. Ventilation options include: the large roof-to-outdoors ventilation fan, window box fans, opening windows, and ceiling fans.
No food/drink, except quick water sips: Briefly lowering your mask for a quick sip of water is OK. Bring your own water bottle: water cups will not be provided and the basement water fountains will not be available. Eating inside the building is not permitted – for a mask break, please go outside.
Dance cancellation: Cancellation is at the discretion of each series’ organizers, based on the changing circumstances of the pandemic.
COVID-19 agreement: All attendees are required to sign our COVID-19 agreement during registration (see below).
